The film and icts in english classes for the intercultural development of tourism students

The learning of the English language during the last decades is directed to the paradigm of an observable intercultural communicative competence, inserting it in the current levels of communicative competence of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The need for students to act as mediators between the mother tongue and the culture of origin, between the foreign language and the cultures involved, leads us to elaborate the purpose of this study making a reflection about the films and the use of ICT in English classes to develop the intercultural competence of the students of the tourism career. In this way, the film in English classes through the use of ICT, serves as a teaching tool for students to explore and raise intercultural knowledge among countries. The mastery of the English language and the intercultural communicative competence of the professionals of the tourism industry are indispensable elements to offer quality services in this sector.
